The heros goodbye

Post by Exilus »

Last night in tired dreadful agony of my mind, when the darkness had consumed that which I am, and memories of comrades long past floated behind my sweat ridden brow, I slept for with in my heart no peace I could find, and I dreamed.

I dreamed my children I stood in a field, with my armor and sword,
in this feild much blood had poured, not long before.
Smoke it rose about my feet.
The taste of steal so bitter sweet,
I saw the bodies of old old friends,
those who had met a bitter end.
I cried I did, as to my knees I slowly slid.
I felt the rage as it filled my lungs,
sand thats poured through blacksmith tongs.
I wished to scream, I wish to cry.
But my body simply wished to die.

My head it rose painfully slow,
and saw I did I was nea alone.
A vision she was, skin of white stone.
This women who stood and left me not alone.
I called to her, to leave this place.
and then and there i saw her face.
She said nothing but just stood in place.
I filled my lungs with one great breath.
Before I faced my certain death.
I screamed to the heavens and olympus high,
Jupiter great jupiter why fore did these men die.
I felt her hand apon my head, and I looked up into her eyes,
Like diamond they were, jewels only worn by the lords of the sky.
I asked her I did, that now silent night,
Does he not hear, why would he not answer my screams to the light.
She spoke to me then, with the voice of muse
we hear you my son, but in this power we cannot use.
Fore this how it was, and how it will be.
as we sit and wait for eternity.
The songs of the sirens, ring from on high,
for now it is time for you die.
Fear not the lack gold to cover your eyes,
for the tears you have shed I leave you this prize,
freedom you wanted, and love you have missed.
But alone you were never, for we are the mist.
the grass on knee's, and the wind in the tree's.
we are what was and forever will be.
The gods of olympus strong and free.
You need not your gold coins for your place awaits.
In the halls of the heros, beside the brings and the fates.
Take my hand she commanded, and take your earned place.
For you were never forgotten, and you were never alone.
and as long as the stars burn in the great outer space,
you will stand by your brothers, in the hall of talone.
The next morning I slept quiet and still.
a single white dove on my lone window sill.
they could not awake me, for I had taken my place.
next to my brothers and sisters in the hall that awaits,
those that are heros, and tears on their face.
But this story I leave, so you will be shone.
That no mater how broken you are never alone.
