Nebulous Words: My Heart is Ink
The title of this topic is the title of a book of poetry that I am writing
I will post a lot of my original poetry here, for you all to read (if you want to). I would love to hear any comments or constructive criticism that you readers would like to share with me
I write poetry about my thoughts, dreams, what I observe in the world around me, memories, but mostly the people that I know. I find humans as complex and beautiful creatures.
Please remember that all of this is my original work, and I ask you to please NOT repost it anywhere else without my permission. I don't expect anyone here to be the sort of person that would steal poetry, but I'd rather post the warning just in case. Thank you for respecting my work as an author

Re: Nebulous Words: My Heart is Ink
Solemn Vows To My Ambitions
You're all I could ever want and more
But I'm less than half of what
You could humbly hope for.
Or at least, that's how I see it.
And I'm pushing my words to rhyme
Trying to squeeze poetry out of the
Words that my feelings cry-
But they won't quite fit.
And maybe one day
We'll share a stage;
I'd have to work so hard
But it'd be so worth it.
I'd have to climb so high
And find my own footholds
But to stand next to you,
I would do it- I will do it.
As I put my fingers to the keys
And make these solemn vows
I think of all I've done
And what I should do now
Leaning my weight so heavily
On every little bit of opportunity
Just waiting for one to give me the wings
That will carry me up to you.

Re: Nebulous Words: My Heart is Ink
I've converted some of my poetry to pretty graphics so that I can post them on Pinterest, so I'll post those here, too. And- gasp- you're gonna get to see my real name (since I put it on all my poems). Please promise not to come kidnap me, lol.
Enjoy! Petrichor- the smell of rain on dry earth.

I'm eager to know, so reply- are you more heart or more head? And if you can't tell....I'm constantly struggling between the two.

Re: Nebulous Words: My Heart is Ink
My friend asked me to write her a poem about the color blue....I happily obliged.

I wrote this in my head while hanging upside down on the swing-set.

I love this poem- for my love in London. Okay, that was a lie, I don't have a love in London. Or a love at all. But it's nice to think about, yes? And this is for "him".

I felt like writing some cheesy poetry, so I made it worse (scratch that- made it better) by setting it against cute kittens and roses.

Written on the spring equinox! What can I say, I was really getting in the springtime mood.

Ah, the pain of having people leave our lives.
