Herbal Tea

Post by Brighid »

Greetings, all!

Does anyone make their own herbal tea blends? If so, what are your favorites, and for what remedies/rituals do you use them?

Any and all information is appreciated!

I have a couple that I use:

Peppermint and lemon balm for heartburn and to relax.
rosemary and some thyme for memory
rose hips tea, with rose petals, just because it tastes amazing.
lemon balm alone for calming, and sleep.

Thank you :D
I'm sure that you'll get more, you just have to wait for other people to get on. :D

I don't mix this myself, I buy this blend at this awesome local tea shop by me. Its:

Rooibos tea
peach chunks
marigold
safflower blossoms

Rooibos tea is great because its very high in antioxidants and has little to no caffeine. Since its caffeine free, I use it for sleep and also for upset stomachs.

wow...I feel lame xP

I like just plain peppermint for sleep, concentration, memory, and test taking. When I want to jazz it up (or I have a headache) I add dried ginger (the old herb that they sell at the grocery store) and mix some in. =)

Herbal tea has been imbibed nearly as long as written history extends. Also known as a tisane or herbal infusion, an herbal tea is simply the combination of boiling water. Herbal teas can strengthen your body immune system so that you don't catch flu or other lung illnesses.

I love Nettle tea especially when its time of the month, as it soothes aches and pains. Its really easy to make and grows in my garden which is an added bonus.
