first ray of light

the dark night goes on and on
seemingly endless hours
i spend my time with the moon
wishing for something...
that something inside of me that will give me the strength
to go on waiting

the sun rises
the sky is colored with the lively dawn
but no one sees and no one hears
of the darkness behind it
of all the pains and all the tears that the sun went through
to shed its light
