Any advice on tarot cards and pendulums?

Hi witches! I ordered a pack or tarot cards and a pendulum. And I am making a spell book and Inwas thinking I know how to use a pendulum but if u witches can give some advice with it that would be great!!! And with the tarot cards I have a book with alot of spells I chould do but it dose not say how to read them and to use them it just has spells!!!! And how the alter should have on it!! And I need to know before i get it so I will not break it or use it in a bad way!!

The Tarot cards will most likely come with a book or a booklet for the basics of reading them. It is now mainly based off of the symbology of the cards.
