the acacia tree (in my backyard)

Post by m_apollo8239 »

So my bf and I moved house a month ago and the 1 acre backyard came with all kinds if neet-o tress and bushes. (I'm still exploring) Among them are three pomegranate bushels, a rose bush, a almond tree, and this, what is shown here, I'm pretty sure is an Acacia tree. I did some research on it and feel like I have a good idea of its general uses. I guess it's the tree where gum Arabic comes from. If anyone knows more id love to know!

I'm pretty sure acacia blooms are yellow balls. I'm going to go to my tree book and see what we got here

Ok... I found this link...does it look like this? http://www.treesthatpleasenurseryblog.c ... adise.html
They didn't have any pod pic's. Lets be sure you have the right plant before you use it. I don't know much about this one. But the link says the seed pods are poisonous.
