Nautical astrology

I had a thought recently while watching the telly. Ships, back when GPS was nowhere near being thought of, navigated by the stars and planets using almanacs, charts and mathematical calculations coupled with the use of a sextant. I was wondering how this could factor in magically? Using these old methods with astrology charts and zodiacs, and the elements of air and water. Very intriguing thought, no?

Very. I was also thinking about the different astrological systems. Chinese, Celtic, Native American, probably some I've never heard of. Jump in and help us out folks. Adastra and I can't keep this going by ourselves!
