How to cast a circle

I've always second guessed the way I cast a circle, and I think that might be the reason why it never really feels like it's working for me. Can someone let me know how they cast a circle and the kinds of results they've gotten from it. Circle casting for anything really- divination, spell casting, meditation, anything.

Ground and center yourself. Walk deosil to -
. purify by sprinkling mixed salt water & bless by wafting smoldering incense
. pull power to belly and point to project energy & cast circle

You can stop there without summoning. Salt-water introduces earth& water elements, and incense introduces air & fire

. Optional - Summon (call) Quarters in order by density - & place or show a welcoming light 🕯
. Optional - Invite Deity or simply bow to honor divine in nature
Then do what you came for - holiday, meditation, divination, spells etc.
. Offer a thanks of blessed bread & wine or juice to honor deity

If you summoned you also must farewell the deity & dismiss the 4 elements in reverse order

In both cases you’d close by grounding residual energy and yourself.

A folk magic method for casting circle is to cleanse, bless and cast: sweep , light , point & push to cast

Or use a Stang Y to trace the circle widdershins, starting & ending at north.

Or charge a cord and lay it around you in a circle , starting & ending at N
